Yorkshire Dales Biodiversity Forum

Where you see the ‘Nature in the Dales’ logo, the content has been produced by the Yorkshire Dales Biodiversity Forum. This material is hosted by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, however the views expressed in the ‘Nature in the Dales, pages do not necessarily reflect those of the Authority.

Our Vision

The Yorkshire Dales Biodiversity Forum’s vision is ‘To promote biodiversity conservation in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and to encourage greater understanding and involvement of people in looking after their natural environment.’ More detail about how this could be achieved by 2040 is contained in the Yorkshire Dales Nature Recovery Plan, which the Biodiversity Forum has produced in partnership with the National Park Authority, the Yorkshire Dales Farming and Land Management Forum and the Dales Woodland Forum.

What we do

The Forum meets quarterly, shares information and collaborates to support and coordinate biodiversity conservation within the National Park, for example providing advice and expertise to develop objectives for the National Park Management Plan.

Our members

The Forum has members representing a wide range of organisations and individuals who work and have an interest in biodiversity conservation in the area.
