The Roost at Bowersyke

The Roost has been created from the 18th century stone-built barn attached to Bowersyke. We offer a stylish and relaxing retreat, spacious and luxurious inside and with exceptional views in all directions.

The Roost is ideally located for the Lakes and the Dales and there is plenty of walking and cycling from the doorstep, including The Dales Way just a few minutes away and the Howgill Fells in easy reach. It is quiet and sheltered, but easily accessible and only a short distance from the M6.

Inside there is a generous kitchen and breakfast area with dramatic views to the Howgill Fells, a large downstairs shower room, a separate dining room and a spacious full-height lounge with views across the rear garden and down the Lune Valley. Upstairs there is the house bathroom and a double bedroom with a feature window looking up into our woodland.

Extensive refurbishments for 2020, including new showers, floors, decoration and furniture, give a fresh and comfortable feel to the whole house. The Roost has full central heating and double glazing, high-speed ‘B4RN’ broadband, complimentary WiFi and a digital TV.

Outside, there is a garden area to the front looking across the Lune Valley to the Howgill Fells. Behind The Roost is a sheltered South-facing paved area enclosed by dry-stone walls and leading to a private orchard garden with views down the Lune Valley. Above The Roost is the woodland with a small stream and gentle paths leading up the hill to seats with spectacular views to the East over Middleton Fell and Baugh Fell and into the Dales.
