Bronagh and Andy Wilson welcome you to the beautiful George Hotel in Orton.  They have just taken over the running of the pub after living in the village for 17 years.

The George is a traditional Inn set in the picturesque village of Orton, on the border of the Howgills and the Eden Valley. As a family run business, you will always find a very warm welcome at any time of the year. In the summer you can enjoy freshly prepared meals and a quiet drink while relaxing in our terraced beer garden. In the winter why not draw up in front of our roaring log fire.

We serve real ales & home cooked food (gluten free menu) with really comfy beds. We are on the Coast to Coast & Walney to Wear and Whitby Cycle Route routes and Lakes & Dales Loop.
