Alternatively, sleep in the bunk barns at How Stean Gorge or beside Scar House Reservoir for some sturdier shelter from the elements. Scar House Bunk Barn

Scar House Bunk Barn provide basic but comfortable accommodation with 2 large dorms with sleeping platforms, your own kitchen, a garden to barbecue in and beautiful views of the Yorkshire Dales and the iconic Scar House Reservoir on your doorstep.

This bunk barn is in a beautiful quiet location at the head of Nidderdale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nestled in a remote hillside of Scar House Reservoir, the bunk barn has fabulous unspoiled views of the reservoirs and the dale.

How Stean Bunkhouse

Affectionately know as 'The Posh Tent'. The How Stean bunkhouse offers basic sleeping accommodation for up to 16 people in two adjoining rooms. The posh tent has proved to be very popular with a wide variety of groups just wishing for somewhere simple, warm and dry.

We know that putting up a tent at a campsite can be a hassle so this brilliant accommodation makes life easy for you, but without paying the usual price of accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales! Even if you aren't planning to use the brilliant activity options that are available with How Stean Gorge, this still makes the perfect place for a camping holiday in Yorkshire, but without the hassle!

Campsite

With 26 tent pitches, How Stean Gorge Camping Park is a great place to meet up and spend time with family and friends and enjoy the nature and beauty that comes with camping in Yorkshire. The camp site is in one of England's 5 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty - Nidderdale, Yorkshire Dales.

Our camping park is the perfect base for camping and exploring the Yorkshire Dales. You can find breath-taking scenery, outdoor activities, wildlife watching, heritage and culture, fabulous food and shopping all a stones-throw from our camping site. Although there are a few campsites in Yorkshire none of them are able to offer the combination of a gorgeous, picturesque view of the Dales with our fantastic selection of outdoor activities and adventures. We also offer plenty of space in the camp site area for playing games on the grassy slopes and having fun. At night, the moon and stars are your only light so please bring a torch!

Minimum booking is 2 nights Friday & Saturday. The rest of the week is half season price.
