Hillcrest Cottage

All the principle rooms and the cottage garden benefit from mesmerising views none more so than the first floor sitting room.  Many a guest has commented, 'I could stare at the view forever.  The sky, the light, the vista is ever changing and is all we need'.

Hillcrest Cottage is a perfect base for a holiday in the Yorkshire Dales.  Whether you have come to walk, to cycle or tour Hillcrest in Low Row is ideally located to discover Swaledale and the wider Yorkshire dales.  The village of Reeth is a 5-minute drive for provisions, a post office, bakery, pubs, cafes and the YDNPA Information Centre.  Explore Reeth a little further and you will find galleries, a pottery, the Swaledale Museum, bicycle hire and the ice-cream parlour!  Leave the car behind and walk from the cottage doorstep.  Venture a little further up the dale and take in Gunnerside Gill or the Kisdon Classic Circular around Muker and Keld.  Roam a little further and visit Hawes in Wensleydale for the cheese, Aysgarth for the waterfalls or Teesdale for the Bowes Museum.  For fans of James Herriot and All Creatures Great & Small Hillcrest is very well placed to find many of the BBC TV film locations.  The newly published Herriot Trail will point you in the right direction.  Find this leaflet and many others in the cottage.  For photographs and full details of Hillcrest Cottage please visit the website www.upperswaledaleholidays.co.uk
