Greenland Bed & Breakfast is an old farmhouse dating back to the 1730s. We have two rooms, the Hay Loft and the Calf House. Both are en-suite, can be either king-size double, twin or single occupancy, and are beautifully furnished with luxury linen and towels, luxury toiletries and an extensive range of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and fresh milk. Both our rooms have hairdryers, TV’s and Wi-Fi. Guests can also wander freely round our gardens.

We can provide evening meals and packed lunches if required. We are also able to serve wines, beers and soft drinks.

We are fully equipped for walkers and have secure overnight storage for two bicycles with secluded space outside for more. For those arriving by car roadside parking for two vehicles. On the ground floor there is a boot room for muddy arrivals, with drying facilities for boots and coats, and a laundry service is available at extra charge.

We are close to both the Wainwright Coast to Coast Trail (0.8 miles) and the Pennine Way / Herriot Way (1 mile from Keld or 1.1 miles from Thwaite at the bottom of Great Shunner Fell). We are an official stamping agent for the Coast to Coast Passport.

You can unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Swaledale, one of the most northern dales in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with stunning views 'Up and Down Dale'.

We are ideally placed to explore the Dales, whether walking, cycling, spotting scenes from the "All Creatures Great and Small" TV series, exploring Yorkshire's rich heritage, or mooching round the lovely market towns of Richmond, Leyburn, Hawes and Barnard Castle, and delightful villages such as Reeth, Muker and Keld.

Sorry, unfortunately we cannot accommodate dogs other than guide dogs and assistance dogs.
