Fawcett Mill

‘Fawcett Mill' is a self catering holiday cottage accommodating 16 to 20 people in 7 bedrooms, specifically set up & ideal for family reunions, significant birthdays, anniversary celebrations or Friends & Families ‘Get Togethers’.

Located in the Eden Valley in Cumbria, just a few yards inside the eastern boundary of The Dales National Park & a short way from The Lake District National Park, with the rolling Howgill Mountains visible to the south, Fawcett Mill is located only 2.5 miles from junction 38 of the M6 motorway, hidden in its own tranquil valley of 7 acres of meadowland with the Raisbeck stream flowing through it. The front of the property drops down through terraces to the stream running from an adjacent & visible waterfall.

Built in 1794 as the Mill Owners house, it is a stone built cottage, furnished in comfortable country style, with oak beams, open fire, log burner, four poster beds, sauna, & Victorian range. It is fully gas centrally heated with solid floors & rugs on the ground floor & fully fitted carpets on the other 2 floors. It has two kitchens, two lounges & 4 bath or shower rooms. The whole party can dine together in the same dining area around tables which can be joined together and configured in a variety of ways to suit the party & in front of the old wood burning range.

Outside there are pub style bench seating areas with parasols beside the stone built BBQ, & extensive terraces & patios leading down to the Raisbeck stream.
