National Park Visitor Centre – Aysgarth Falls

The centre is a great starting point for anyone wanting to make the most of this beautiful area. There are interesting displays about the area, guidebooks and leaflets and of course, friendly staff to help you enjoy the National Park in just the way you want.

You can ask us about:

  • Planning your visit
  • Buying maps, books, souvenirs and clothing
  • Leaflets and brochures
  • Booking accommodation
  • How to get to and around the area by public transport

Accessibility at Aysgarth Falls National Park Visitor Centre

We also have a tramper which you can borrow for free at the Aysgarth National Park Visitor Centre. A tramper is an all-terrain wheelchair which can be used on rough ground, mud and grass. It enables people who have difficulty walking, who are less able to experience the countryside and to accompany friends and family when out walking. You can use it to visit the Upper Falls and go through some of Freeholder's Wood. Book the tramper through the Access to the Dales website (look for Aysgarth hub and try to book 48 hours in advance). If you have any questions contact the National Park Visitor Centre.

There is also an electric car charger point in the car park.

When we are closed the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority online shop can still be accessed to make purchases.

Toilets are available in the car park and next to the Visitor Centre is the Coppice Café which serves a great selection of drinks and meals largely made with locally sourced ingredients.

You can find out about walks and things to do in Aysgarth and the surrounding area here.
