Giving back to nature can be empowering, our Dales Action Days are an opportunity for people to come and help us make a difference to our environment. Dales Action Days are fun, social, practical volunteering days out in the National Park for groups who want to be part of a team that gives something back to nature.
Group volunteering days might involve tree planting, footpath maintenance or dry-stone walling; to see what groups have done and the difference they have made take a look at our blog.
We can run volunteering days for all ages, abilities, and experience and any group with additional needs.
You don’t need any special clothes or equipment, we provide everything you need to take part, you just need to come prepared to get busy and maybe a bit muddy.
Our task days involve a lot of planning and organising, therefore we need a minimum of six weeks’ notice and a group size of between 12 and 20 – opportunities for larger groups are limited. We supply all equipment, risk assessments and any PPE needed.
Visit our pre-visit information and bookings page to book a Dales Action Day for your group.
If you would like to volunteer with us as an individual adult or young person we also offer Dales Action Days for you. Everyone is welcome, why not give it a try!

Dales Action Days
Our Dales Action Days offer a chance to get outside, meet new people, learn new skills, and take a unique ‘behind the scenes’ look at the National Park and our work. They are the perfect opportunity to get involved with no long-term commitment.
