Money for projects

Grants and funding

Our partner local authorities and other local bodies provide a range of funding that may be available to support projects inside the National Park:

The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) provides a range of funding for a range of local projects that make a big difference to the lives of local people in the Yorkshire Dales.  The National Park Authority set up the Trust as an independent registered charity in 1997.  Since then the Trust has helped to deliver projects worth over £20 million in the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding areas. The YDMT also has a woodland grants scheme supporting the creation of new native broadleaf woodlands, hedgerow and landscape trees in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale AONB.

North Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership work with public and private sector partners to deliver economic improvement and change across York, North Yorkshire and East Riding.

Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership provides a strategic lead in all activities contributing to the growth and vibrancy of the county’s economy and takes positive action, using the skills, capability and networks of its partners.

Westmorland & Furness Council manages a range of grant funds that are used to invest in communities.

North Yorkshire Council provides grants and funding opportunities in the North Yorkshire area.
