ICT Officer

We are looking for a customer focused ICT Officer who is passionate about people and technology, with a dedication to continuous improvement and excellence.

Primarily based at our Bainbridge offices, but occasionally travelling to all offices across the Park, and as part of a team of four, you will be providing support and guidance to our staff, while playing a significant role in the development & maintenance of the applications and server estate.

Modern Technology has an important role in furthering the objectives of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority. We are looking for someone who can make a significant contribution to the continuing development of IT. The work is varied involving all aspects of the Authority’s activities. A flexible and enthusiastic approach to the challenge is essential, as are good interpersonal and communication skills. The successful applicant will be jointly responsible for the day to day end user support, setting up hardware and installing and upgrading software.

You will be experienced in providing support and troubleshooting in a Microsoft Windows environment and have strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Experience of managing projects will be an advantage.  As part of a team, your responsibilities will include maintaining the Authority’s large IT estate, including Servers, PCs, Laptops, Projectors and associated equipment. Knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016, Server 2012, Veeam/VMWare and Mitel VoIP would be an advantage. You will be responsible for responding to and updating incidents using our incident management system, including timely escalation of incidents to external support partners where appropriate.

A driving licence is essential as travel throughout the Park is a requirement of this post.
