The popular and professional opera singer Jay Britton will join us during the day on 25 July to show us just how a Tudor ‘lady’ would live and enjoy a location such as Bolton Castle.  Accompanied by an extravagantly costumed Henry VIII, Jay will wander the gardens and rooms interacting with our visitors and passing on snippets of life in Tudor England.  Later the same evening, she will perform her acclaimed ‘Tudor Songbook’ against the backdrop of our glorious Bolton Castle. Used to working within such beautiful and historical settings, Jay will bring alive our history with her traditional Tudor songs across two performances that evening, accompanied by a lutenist. Jay’s music will evoke the legacy of the Tudor period and provide a delightful evening of music to lift the soul.
