SUMMARY:Treasures in Store tour
DESCRIPTION:Lifting the lid on rarely seen objects from our collection\, usually concealed in our special stores. \nBook your museum ticket with a special behind the scenes stores tour for a glimpse into the hidden world of our museum. Visit the stores\, where objects sit\, cocooned out of sight from the visitors’ gaze\, waiting for their chance to step out of the shadows. \nDuring the tour\, Curator Lynda Powell explains why some of our precious objects are kept under wraps\, reveals the challenges of storage\, conservation and display\, and lifts the lid\, for your eyes only\, on some rarely seen items from our treasured collection. This part of your visit will take about 40 minutes. \nDue to the compact nature of the stores\, numbers are limited to six people per tour. \nTreasures in Store Tour £10 per person. \nSelecting this gets you: \n\nmuseum entry (from 10.30am)\nexclusive access to the museum stores (meet in the Medal Room at 11am)\ntime to enjoy the museum after the stores tour\n\nPre-booking essential. Call 01748 826561.
