Booking for this walk is cancelled until further notice
A 4 mile (6.4 km) walk along the River Ribble. We will discuss the industries which depended on the river in the past and visit the Craven Limeworks and Langcliffe, a quiet village with a violent past. The walk finishes at Stainforth Force where, with luck, we will see salmon leaping up the waterfall.
A mostly flat walk on good paths, although in wet weather the riverside paths may be quite muddy. There are a number of stiles on the route.
Walk starts from Stainforth National Park Car Park, BD24 9PF.
Please wear outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather on the day and bring a snack and a drink.
Dogs not allowed.
