A 4 mile (6.4 km) Level 3 walk alongside the River Ribble. We will discuss the industries which depended on the river in the past. We will visit the Craven Limeworks and Langcliffe, a quiet village with a violent past. We will conclude the walk at Stainforth Force where, with luck, we will see salmon leaping up the waterfall.
A mostly flat walk on good paths, although in wet weather the riverside paths may be quite muddy. There are a number of stiles on the route.
Walk starts from Stainforth YDNP Car Park, BD24 9PF.
Please wear outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather on the day and bring a snack and a drink.
Dogs not allowed.
