Friday 25th February

As part of the Dark Skies Festival 2022, we are delighted to announce an evening star gazing with Martin Whipp, the Director of the Lime Tree Observatory in Grewelthorpe, under some of the darkest skies in the UK.

Come and enjoy a warming supper and a presentation, before stepping outside for some star spotting and astronomy, accompanied by expert guidance.

Suitable for families and all ages.

The Pie at Night

The running order for the evening is as follows:

  • 7:00 pm – Arrival
  • 7:15 pm – Supper of either steak and ale, chicken and mushroom or spiced vegetable pie
  • 7:45 pm – A talk from Martin Whip, to introduce the evening and give a presentation, with large screen.
  • 8:30 pm – A walk outside under the darkest skies, with telescopes and expert guidance.

Raspberry Meringue Roulade and other sweet treats will be available on the evening. These can be bought now or decided on the night itself.
