The Landscape of Crummackdale and Moughton

A 7 mile (11 km) walk to little-known Crummackdale with its fascinating geology and ancient settlement sites. See folded rocks, an unconformity and a fossil waterfall. We will return over the lower part of Moughton’s limestone plateau.

The route is on good paths with some uneven ground and with stiles. There are two steep climbs.

The walks starts from Horton-in-Ribblesdale Station, BD24 0HL.

Please wear outdoor clothing appropriate to the weather on the day. Walking boots recommended. Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Dogs not allowed.
