The Darkening invokes the dramatic and powerful sounds of the wild, weather-beaten countryside, along Hadrian’s Wall, where ancient people worshipped different gods and followed different customs. With her outstanding colleagues, the Northumbrian pipes and fiddle legend will bring to life some of the oldest Northumbrian tunes and songs, intermingled with exciting new material.
