Swaledale Festival – Guided Walk: Woods, Waterfalls and Wild Flowers

May 28 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

A guided 4 mile walk through coppiced woodland and fields, led by Chris Meek and members of the Yoredale Natural History Society. The emphasis will be on the wild flowers of the region, but we’ll also pass by Aysgarth Falls. The terrain is moderate with tracks, pasture and a few stiles. It may be muddy. No dogs please.

Adults £10; Under 25s £3

Places are very limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place.

You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and a hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate. Thanks to the Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust, Yoredale Natural History Society, Keld Resource Centre, the Woodland Trust, our walks co-ordinator Charles Collinson, all our walk leaders, and to our generous walks sponsors.
