Swaledale Festival – Guided Walk: Great Pinseat Circular Route

June 7 @ 10:30 am - 3:00 pm

Meet at Surrender Bridge between Langthwaite and Low Row.

Led by Helen Guy of the Keld Resource Centre, a 6 mile walk taking in Old Gang Smelt Mill and Brandy Bottle Incline Level entrances, a climb up to Great Pinseat, and back to Surrender Smelt Mill. Some steep terrain. Dogs on leads are welcome.

Address: Surrender Bridge is located between Langthwaite and Low Row. The grid reference for Surrender Bridge is 988998 on map OL30.

Parking: there is no car park, but it is generally possible to park on the rough ground next to the road.

Toilets: no.

Adults £10; Under 25s £3

Places are very limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place.

You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and a hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate.
