SOLD OUT! – Stargazing Beneath Ingleborough

Venue:
Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail
Clapham, LA2 8EA

Join expert astronomers from GoStargazing for an evening of stargazing, and experience the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail as never before. A superb dark sky is one of the things that make the Yorkshire Dales National Park so special, and with large areas completely free from local light pollution, it’s a fantastic place to start your stargazing adventure.

There’s no better time to come stargazing here, now that the Yorkshire Dales National Park has been designated as a Dark Sky Reserve by the International Dark Sky Association.

The stargazing activity at this event is dependent on cloud-cover and weather conditions. In the event that stargazing will not be possible, our experts will provide a guided tour of the planets of the solar system.

Meet at 5.30pm at the start of the Ingleborough Nature Trail in Clapham.  In total, you will walk 2.5 miles, some of which will be at a gentle uphill gradient.

Free parking in the Yorkshire Dales National Park car park (Sat Nav LA2 8EA) is included in the cost. When you make your booking, you will receive an email confirmation with a QR code on. Simply print the QR code and display it in your car for free parking.

Booking is essential, and all ages are welcome.  Dogs on leads welcome.

Wear suitable clothing. If you are bringing a torch, try and bring a red light torch to avoid spoiling your dark-adapted vision.

In the event that we are unable to open due to adverse weather, or any other problems, a full refund will be issued minus the card processing charge. Providing the event is running, refunds will not be offered to those unable to attend.
