April Line-up
MC – Big Lou

Big Lou will be standing in for Colin Manford as host this month. Big Lou is a well known face on the comedy scene who has a commanding stage presence matched by his punchlines and timing of their delivery. Big Lou has played most of the premier comedy venues in the North West and beyond.

Headline Act – Rob Rouse

Rob Rouse is a lively, loveable and dynamic comic storyteller. He has performed all over the world and works long form narratives into hard-hitting, uncompromising hilarious tales filled with warmth and a sense of compassion for our collective human frailties.
You’ll recognise Rob from 8 out of 10 cats, BBC 2 Shakespeare Sitcom Upstart Crow, Spoons, The Friday Night Project, Celebrity Juice, Dave’s One night stand, John Bishop’s Only Joking, Live at the Comedy store, or perhaps seen him at one of his 8 Edinburgh fringe shows or 3 UK tours. So, come and see him do what he does best; honest, frank, seriously funny stand-up.

Hayley Ellis

A Manchester based comedian and former regular contributor to XFM’s breakfast show, Hayley Ellis has gone from strength to strength since she began performing.
A regular MC at gigs around the country, Hayley’s natural warmth and charm make her impossible to dislike, something which has become evident in her success in new act competitions throughout the UK. Hayley has also become a regular sight gag contributor for the Russell Howard’s Good News television programme and has appeared on MTV’s “Why aye love Geordie Shore” and “Comedy Set Lists” for Virgin television. She can also sometimes be heard on your wireless (Absolute Radio) and her sketches and jokes have appeared on Newsjack (Radio 4).

Noel James

Noel James has been treading the boards – some would say walking the plank – for twenty-five years. An experienced, very original, comedian from Swansea, Wales, who has played – and often headlined – most comedy clubs in the UK and performed at major festivals across the world. He has performed in sketch shows on BBC Radio Wales, and various TV comedy and acting roles including BBC and Channel 4 shows.
