Saturday 27 April, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Shap Farmers’ and Makers’ Market CA10 3NL
Saturday 27th April 9 – 1
In addition to the usual great variety of food/craft and plant stalls at the market the Shap Outdoor Festival will be launched. There will be representatives from Cumbria Connect, Eden Rivers Trust, Penrith & District Red Squirrel group, RSPB Haweswater, Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Cumbria Woodlands and Friends of the Lake District sharing information about their organisations and the work they are doing to increase diversity in the surrounding landscape. Also this month Cumbria Master Composters are attending the market with advice on how to grow organically. Entertainment will be provided on the terrace at the Old Courthouse by Penrith based samba/fusion band BJamba Streetbeats and Shap Community Band, a recent initiative set up to encourage those who would like to play an instrument.
Visit www.theoldcourthouse.org for details of all the special events that are happening during the month long Shap Outdoor Festival.
