Visit Sedbergh Sheepfest – bank holiday Saturday 26 August.
At the heart of the festival are ‘sheep’ modelled by local residents and businesses, often humourous, which can be spotted on Main St, in nooks and crannies as well as in the churchyard.
Visitors looking for knitting wool and woolly products will find a British Wool Fair in the People’s Hall. You can meet farmers and artisan makers from the region who are passionate about their products and are looking forward to telling you about how they’re produced. There will also be craft activities for children with Janet and Bluebell.
Sheepfest has activities for all the family, including Rural Links livestock display, historical and conservation exhibitions and is spread across a number of sites including Farfield Mill arts and heritage centre.
The regular artisan market will be on Main St too, and you can visit the annual art exhibition in Sedbergh School Library.
Free entry to all activities.
Free overflow parking and free shuttle bus between sites. Pay and display in town car parks.
Find us 15 minutes from M6 junction 37 in a quiet corner of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
