Reverse through the Universe

Yorkshire Dales National Park
Image of the planets in the solar system

Join Martin Whipp, Lead Astronomer from the Lime Tree Observatory, on an adventure through the Solar System! We will start off very small (inside the human eye) and pull back, giving a larger and larger view until we reach the outer limits of the Solar System. We will be comparing the sizes of planets, stars and other bodies of the solar system along the way.

This event is FREE OF CHARGE and will take the form of a Zoom meeting that will also be streamed LIVE to the Go Stargazing Facebook page. If you wish to participate in the Zoom meeting (where you may ask questions of the presenters) please complete the form below.

The event is taking place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Week which is organised jointly by the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, this with enthusiastic support from the team at Go Stargazing!
