Real Astronomy – What can you see using a telescope?

Venue:
Yorkshire Dales National Park
Astronomer Richard Darn looking through a telescope at the starry night above

In this presentation Richard Darn will give you the low down on what you can really expect from a stargazing experience and what things really look like through a telescope. It’s all a long way from the glitzy images you see in magazines, but in some cases the real naked eye view is much better! There’ll be opportunity to ask Richard questions too!

This event is FREE OF CHARGE and will take the form of a Zoom meeting that will also be streamed LIVE to the Go Stargazing Facebook page. If you wish to participate in the Zoom meeting (where you may ask questions of the presenters) please register by clicking on the event website.

The event is taking place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Week which is organised jointly by the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, this with enthusiastic support from the team at Go Stargazing!
