The Exhibit ‘A’ Gallery: Artist Background
Born in 1944, in Liversedge, West Yorkshire, David has had a lifelong interest in railways.
He started his
working life as a Commercial Artist in the Photographic Industry, before moving into the Textile Industry, where he spent the next 40 years as a Carpet Designer. On retirement, he could devote more time to painting and became a member of the Guild of Railway Artists, achieving the GRA after 3 years as an associate member.
Living now in the Lake District, David also paints other subjects including landscapes and wildlife. His mediums are acrylics and watercolours.
