Presenting the Past Exhibition

Venue:
Grassington Town Hall, Main Street Grassington North Yorkshire BD23 5AA United Kingdom

A collection of long-forgotten photographs, 100 years old, found in Kettlewell Village Store form the centrepiece of this fascinating exhibition.  These photos, commissioned by Percy Inman, have been used to inspire songs, writings and artwork.  Also, they have prompted further research about Upper Wharfedale and the collection of oral histories.  The exhibition will show all these elements along with modern photographs capturing the same places a century later.  There is something for everyone: live readings, live music, displays and dancing.

This exhibition is totally free, thanks to Heritage Lottery funding.  Refreshments will be available.  The event runs over two consecutive weekends
