Pinsuti Chamber Choir – Visions of Flight
Pinsuti Chamber Choir returns to Skipton Town Hall for a programme of 20th and 21st century a cappella choral music on the theme of birds, flight and fire:
– Christopher Tin’s The Lost Birds, a soulful musical elegy using texts from poets including Emily Dickinson and Christina Rossetti
– Laurisden’s Madrigali: Six Fire Songs on Italian Renaissance Poems
– Whitacre’s exciting Leonardo Dreams of his Flying Machine
– And some light popular pieces to complement a summer’s evening.
Pinsuti Chamber Choir is a well-regarded amateur choir of 30 singers, based in the Ilkley and Skipton areas.
“A masterclass in choral singing….”
“The appreciative audience responded with long applause, clearly moved by the choir’s artistry and the imaginative breadth of the programme”
