Nature and Us: The Art of Noticing
Finding your own voice in nature poetry
Yorkshire’s precious peatlands are vital habitats and carbon stores.
Be guided by musician, poet and writer Sarah Smout in exploring your relationship to these magical spaces. Using a variety of approaches and exercises you will develop your voice to create authentic connections with nature, tell a story of peatlands, and champion their protection.
Following the workshop, you will have the opportunity to add your poem to the ‘Give Peat a Chance’ exhibition at the Dales Countryside Museum alongside work by Sarah and other local artists.
Free workshops at the Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes
