49. Muddy Boots Social Walk – The Barguest and Brownies! (Trollers Gill from Burnsall)
Explore the fascinating dry limestone ravine of Trollers Gill, the legendary home of a barguest, a black spectral hound with eyes that can turn people to stone, and stop for an acclaimed ‘LOVE Brownies’ brownie on the site where they are made with fantastic views of the Wharfedale countryside, as well as taking in plenty of beautiful scenery in between.

DISTANCE: 8 miles/13km (357m ascent)
DURATION: 5 hours
TERRAIN: A mixture of broad, walled tracks, classic farmland, a short road section, riverside walking and a rocky section through the gill!
