Join Liz for a whole day workshop – designing and printing onto fabric and then making a lantern which can be lit by a battery powered tea light. Prior to the workshop you will be given the size of block and some hints and tips so you can get together some ideas and prepare a sketch in advance. On the day you will have a practice carving using the various tools then you will transfer your image to a block, carve and print onto fabric in a choice of colours using professional inks and the printers press. This workshop is ideal for total beginners and those wishing to hone their skills, you can expect to go home not only with your block to create more at home but also with a few prints that you can frame and keep or give as a unique handmade by you with love gift.
