Leadmining on Grassington Moor

Join us on this 4 mile (6.4 km) guided walk to discover the amazing remains of centuries of heavy industry on the moors. The walk passes well preserved remains of the lead mining including shafts, adits, ore dressing platforms and peat cutting. The views over Grassington are stunning.

The first part of this route is barrier free and accessible to all terrain wheelchairs, please see website for details. The site is exposed so please wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear with good grips. if you have any questions about the route please contact Grassington National Park Centre on 01756 751690.
