Leading your own outdoor learning sessions: a practical day in Malham
20th March 2023, 9.30am – 3.30pm

The training day will be delivered by the Education Officer from the Yorkshire Dales National Park and will include,
How to plan and deliver sessions on:

Rivers
Stream dipping
Landscapes
Tourist impact
Connecting with nature for well-being

The day will involve a range of practical activities around Malham and some classroom-based learning, exploring curriculum opportunities, writing risk assessments, group leadership and sharing resources. As a result of the session, teachers should feel confident to plan and deliver a session in Malham or in their school grounds.

Please bring a packed lunch.

Suitable for primary school teachers.
