Leading primary outdoor learning sessions: a practical day at Aysgarth Falls and Freeholders Wood.
25th October 2023, 9.30am – 3.30pm
The training day will be delivered by the Education Officer from the Yorkshire Dales National Park and will include,
How to plan and deliver sessions on:
• Woodland habitats
• Landscapes, rocks and soils
• Tourist impact
• Connecting with nature for well-being

The day will involve a range of practical activities around Aysgarth Falls and Freeholders Wood and some classroom-based learning, exploring curriculum opportunities, writing risk assessments, group leadership and sharing resources.
As a result of the session, primary school teachers should feel confident to plan and deliver a session in their school grounds or at Aysgarth Falls and Freeholders Wood.

Please bring a packed lunch.
