Latest Developments in Solar System Exploration

Venue:
Yorkshire Dales National Park
Solar system, moon and the night sky

In this talk Dr Fred looks at the most recent space missions exploring the solar system. As well as the major planets, Venus, Mars and Jupiter, there are exciting missions that hope to retrieve samples of ‘soil’ from two different asteroids Ryugu and Bennu. We will also consider future missions with opportunity to ask Dr Fred questions after his presentation.

This event is FREE OF CHARGE and will take the form of a Zoom meeting that will also be streamed LIVE to the Go Stargazing Facebook page. If you wish to participate in the Zoom meeting (where you may ask questions of the presenters) please register by clicking on the event website.

The event is taking place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Week which is organised jointly by the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, this with enthusiastic support from the team at Go Stargazing!
