Join us for a special Yorkshire Day celebration featuring a screening of Lad: A Yorkshire Story, filmed right here in Craven!

  • Film Screening: From the heart of a boy, comes the story of a man. Lad: A Yorkshire Story follows the journey of a teenage boy who forms an unexpected friendship with a park ranger in the Yorkshire Dales after the death of his father. This multi-award-winning debut feature film from Dan Hartley (Rogue Runner Production Studio) stars Bretten Lord, Nancy Clarkson, Alan Gibson, Robert Hayes, and Molly McGlynn.
  • Yorkshire Puddings & Gravy: Enjoy a complimentary pot of Yorkshire puddings and gravy with your ticket.
  • Q&A Session: Participate in a Q&A with lead actor Bretten Lord, hosted by Gemma Nicholson.

 

About Bretten Lord:

A heartfelt performance from Craven based Bretten Lord in Lad: A Yorkshire Story marked his debut in the film industry, capturing the hearts of audiences with his genuine portrayal of a boy overcoming personal loss. Bretten continues to work in the film & TV industry as well as running Lords Antiques & Salvage at Ingleton and Lords Courtyard at Settle.

About Gemma Nicholson:

Skipton based Gemma Nicholson has worked in the film industry since the early 2000s, specialising in sound and post-production, she was involved in the production of Lad: A Yorkshire Story. Gemma is the founder of Post Super, a platform supporting film and TV professionals with community resources and training.
