Dark Skies Festival Stargazing at Tan Hill
Join astronomer Martin Lunn MBE FRAS for this special stargazing event as part of the Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Festival.
Martin will enjoy showing you the stars in the evening if it is clear and will show you the Orion, the Plough and North Star together with all the other winter constellations. Jupiter will be high in the sky and as a bonus just after sunset around February 23rd we can see low in the southwest the planets Saturn, Mercury and Venus.
If we find the weather to be cloudy, Martin will present a talk on the February Night Sky, along with many other interesting talks throughtout the evening.
