Dales gloves, knitted with complex designs and the owner’s initials and date around the wrist, are unique to Yorkshire.
For knitters, textile enthusiasts and Dales fans, this study day brings together three experts on Dales gloves to share their knowledge and expertise.
Knitting writer and researcher Angharad Thomas will be joined by knitting designers and historians Ann Kingstone and Penelope Hemingway.
An opportunity to look at the knitting collections in the Dales Countryside Museum will be followed by presentations and a choice of workshops. Lunch included.
There will also be the book launch of ‘A Knitter’s Guide to Gloves’ by Angharad Thomas.
