Join us on an unforgettable canoe expedition as we paddle along the calm canal and the faster river waters to reach our final destination of Boroughbrough. This route is 11km which will take most groups approximately 5-6 hours to navigate the river passing locks and enjoying the views.

Ripon is one of the most historic cities in the country and this is where your exciting all-day canoe trip will begin. You’ll meet our How Stean Gorge outdoor adventure team at the Canal Basin in Ripon, where you’ll get kitted up and introduced to the equipment you’ll be using during the day.  From the serene Ripon Canal, you’ll join the faster-flowing River Ure which will takes you through picturesque countryside including traditional villages and Newby Hall which eventually leads to Boroughbridge.

From 10am – 3.30pm

Whether you’re a competent canoeist, or simply seeking a new exciting outdoor adventure, this expedition promises an unforgettable journey through the heart of Yorkshire’s amazing landscape. So, grab a paddle and let the adventure begin…
