A relaxed, interactive, informal day delving into the mysteries of line and wash in John’s unique style. Broadrake, in the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, has amazing views all around and no shortage of inspirational subject matter.

The day will cover an insight into John’s style with demonstrations and exercises. There may be outdoor sketching opportunities, subject to the weather, working from these and reference images to the final ink drawing and application of light watercolour washes to create a loose lively painting (or three). If weather is unsuitable for outdoor sketching, then you will work from inspiring photos of the local area.
