The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is an incredible experience to climb the biggest peaks in Yorkshire to raise vital funds to power life saving research.
You will cover 24 miles and 5,000 feet of climbing, facing challenging, yet beautiful terrain and climbs and will push yourself to the limit for such a vital cause.
Starting and ending in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, you’ll be taking on the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m), and trek through the heart of some of the UK’s most majestic scenery, including the famous Ribblehead Viaduct.
You’ll get loads of support along the way, including event day information, fundraising & training tips, plus much more. We’ll also let you know what kit to bring with you and because we want you to feel part of Team BHF, you’ll receive a BHF branded technical top on the day. Leading up to event day you’ll get route information, what to expect, your start time, parking info, and more. We want to make sure you’re well fuelled up so you’ll even get the choice of a hot dinner after your hard work (at no extra cost!).
When signing up with the British Heart Foundation, you’ll need to pay a sign up fee of just £20 and pledge to raise at least £150 (exc. gift aid). You also have the option of choosing to take part on either Saturday 23rd or Sunday 24th July.
What does your entry include?
- A hot dinner after your trek
- A BHF technical top
- Marshalled route planned out by mountaineering experts
- Snacks and refreshments along the way at 2 checkpoints (other checkpoints may contain local cafes not included in the price)
