Explore this small dry valley – an excellent example of a glacial meltwater channel. It was carved by water flowing northwards beneath an ice sheet during the later stages of thelast major glaciation, probably between 22,000 and 20,000 years ago.
A circular walk on rough footpaths, of around 4.5 miles (7.3 km), starts and finishes at the car park on Orton Scar.
Please wear the appropriate footwear & clothing depending on the weather.
You will need to bring lunch and refreshments.
