Join Artist Anji Timlin at the museum for 2 hour workshop using Marie Hartley and Joan Ingilby’s book ‘Old Hand Knitters of the Dales’ as inspiration to make a painting or drawing in ink in response to quotes from this inspiring book.
This workshops is designed to create a lovely fact file with drawings and information about a precious object. The current exhibition Love Tokens, Sittings And Song is about the
collection of knitting sheaths held by the museum, donated by John Dixon. It’s these beautiful objects that we’ll be looking at in the museum to make our fact files.
You can bring your own materials if you like, I’d suggest coloured pencils, markers, inks or watercolour, but we will have some material available.
Workshops are free but with a £10 suggested donation.
If you can’t make it to the Dales Museum in person, then join us on Zoom to make a personal fact file about a special object from your house. Pick something you love, grab some art materials and some paper and let’s make a fact file about your precious object.
