5757 is the exact number of miles from their house in Aske to the hotel they use in Kyoto. A passion for both places permeates every section of their lives.

Andrew’s love of photography gives him two distinct styles. The Dales are always peaceful and beautiful, whatever the weather. Despite Kyoto being a huge city it is easy to find that same peace and beauty.

Jill’s part of the exhibition is mixed media bringing in her passion for Japan, exhibits range from watercolours, to Chiriei-e (the Japanese art of paper tearing) on glass and a range of original resin gifts.

Jill runs a tour company to, you’ve guessed it, Japan with Kyoto the base. Having taught art and crafts for over 30 years, her time is spent between Kyoto and Richmond. She is very excited to get back to exhibiting at the Mill after a long absence.
