Photographer to the Stars!

Venue:
Stone House Hotel, Bellow Hill, Sedbusk, Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, Hawes DL8 3PT
Pinky-navy blue night sky above a grassy field near Ingleton
Do you ever wish you could capture the beauty of a starry night sky in a photograph? Or perhaps you’re keen to expand your skills to include night time photography?
If so, we’ve got the perfect experience for you!
As part of this year’s Dark Skies Festival, we have teamed up with the fantastic Tom Marsh (aka The Flat Capped Photographer) from Yorkshire Photo Walks to give guests of Stone House Hotel the opportunity to learn how to photograph the night sky at the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct.
On the evening of 20th February, you and a small group of like-minded enthusiasts will learn how to compose spectacular landscape photographs of the night sky, and to make the invisible visible through the technique of long exposure. You will not only come away with a new skill, but with some seriously impressive pictures to show for it!
And, thanks to the exceptional quality of its starry nights, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is one of the best places on earth to hone your night-time photography skills. Here, it is possible to see thousands of stars, the Milky Way, meteors and even the Northern Lights!
And to top it all, for stays beginning on the 17th, 18th, 19th or 20th February we will be offering three nights for the price of two, whether you’re doing the Photography Walk or not!
Our Astronomy and Night Walk events are now fully-booked, so we recommend that you secure your place early!
