Planning application validation requirements in the Yorkshire Dales National Park June 2021

In accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and its associated National Planning Practice Guidance, the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority regularly reviews their local list for the purposes of validating planning related applications.

The Authority’s local list is set out in the document below:

This document has been updated taking into consideration new local and national planning policies and is available on our website for consultation purposes. This updated version will be available for a 6 week consultation period until 16 June 2021. If you wish to make any comments on the updated version please send them to planning@yorkshiredales.org.uk before the end of the consultation period.

For your information, a summary of the changes made is given below:

  1. The revised document has been re-published since the last publication in June 2019.
  2. 4.4 Public right of way statement – need for this removed.

Please note that planning related applications will be validated in accordance with the existing 2019 Planning Application Validation Requirements until the updated version has been consulted upon, amended where required and published. Once published it will replace the 2019 version and will be available on the Authority’s website.
