Swale View is a welcoming three bedroom detached cottage set in the hillside village of Low Row with an enclosed garden offering views over Swaledale and the River Swale. The local Punch Bowl Inn is a short walk offering superb food and drink year round. The fish and chip van arrives on a Friday night opposite the pub.
Built in 1750 and recently extended to provide a separate dining room the accommodation consists of a large, very well equipped kitchen including an Aga, American Fridge Freezer, Belfast sink, hand built oak units and all the appliances you need to make the most of your stay including food mixers, toaster, blender, nutri bullet, juicer, microwave and of course a kettle for endless cups of tea! There is also a new washing machine and dishwasher should you need them.
There is access to the small enclosed garden via the French Doors, ideal for letting the dogs out, which has a pub style table and bench seats, ideal for a summer day meal or breakfast, offering views across the valley.
The cosy living room has a multi fuel burner, we provide a starter kit for your first fire and there is plenty of coal should you need it, a large sofa, small sofa and chair, a set of occasional tables and a large screen TV which offers many channels and can be streamed via the Wi-Fi. There are few games jigsaws, backgammon board, and plenty of books for both walking and reading at your leisure.
The separate dining room also has a multi fuel burner, a large table and benches that can seat eight and a small table and chairs with views of the Swale valley.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, the main bedroom has a king size bed, chest of drawers and blanket box as well as hanging space for your clothes. The second bedroom has a double bed and a sink and a large cupboard. The third bedroom is small but comfortable single. All rooms have window seats and smashing views.
The bathroom has a full size bath and a powerful shower with the house is heated by gas boiler and we also have a couple of radiators to provide background warmth if required in the living room and hallway.
The entrance has a radiator and maids clothes dryer and if you need it, there is an additional clothes airer and also radiator dryers, iron and ironing board.
There is off road parking for up to four cars and we also have secure storage for bikes for those who like road or mountain biking and all bedding, towels, heating and hot water are provided free for the duration of your visit.
We welcome up to two dogs but can do three if they are super well behaved.
