Located in the heart of beautiful Wensleydale, Stage 1 is an innovative family run cycling hub offering affordable hire, repairs and supported tours. Stage 1 Cycles is based in Hawes and aims to encourage access by bike to the National Park routes and beyond for everyone, every day. Whether you are an elite cyclist or a new starter we have the services to support you.

In addition to regular off-road and road bikes they have trailers, tag along and junior bikes for hire, ensuring there is a way for everyone to participate. If you have the family to entertain then look out for their special holiday activities planned during School holidays in collaboration with Castle Bolton.

Stage 1 will support all your needs to get you started on your cycling adventure. They have spares in their shop and can provide an emergency or scheduled repair service, and can even build you a new bike if you give them enough notice!

Stage 1 Cycles offer a bespoke guided tour programme which will build a cycling experience around your individual requirements. Whether you would like a leisurely cycle to Semerwater with the kids for a picnic or 3 days off road in the hills and a crash pad, they can accommodate all your requirements and get you on the road.
