Part of a working beef and sheep farm, this is a pop-up wild campsite which gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy the limestone scenery and walking opportunities in this part of the Yorkshire Dales for a limited period (16th July to 9th September 2021). Kirkby Malham Camping

'Mucky Bottoms' as the field is known locally,  has acres of space for children and dogs to run around safely. It really is a haven for lovers of the great outdoors, with the Pennine Way running alongside the field and walking, cycling and rock-climbing opportunities lying all around.  It is just a few minutes walk to great pubs in Kirkby Malham and Malham and the award winning Town End Farmshop and Tearoom is a couple of miles down the road in Airton, packed with local produce. The local market towns of Skipton and Settle beckon a short drive away, or slightly further afield are Harrogate and Ilkley.

Portable toilets, a supply of water and bins are provided for your stay, but we would encourage all campers to follow the 'leave no trace' principles so that the sheep can continue to enjoy the grass once you have gone.
